This vintage table lamp is a true very rare gem for any collector or music enthusiast. The lamp turns manually by turning the top finial with your fingers to spin the drum and change positions. We believe the lamp was used in music shops and as a teaching aid of chord theory. The lamp is estimated circa 1950s-1960s era. The shade turns fairly smooth 3/4 of the way and then has a little bit of a spot where it has a little drag to it but nothing bad and works well overall.
With its antique gold naturally aged hardware and white semi translucent white lucite cylinder and side arms, it adds a wonderful music themed pop to any room. The lamp is corded for a standard wall outlet and features a rotary knob for on/off control.
Measuring 17” inches in height x 8 3/8” wide x 6 inches in diameter cylinder shade, this medium to larger sized lamp is made of a lucite acrylic polymer type material. The large cylinder shaped shade and music chord theory design make it an extremely unique addition to any space and music collection.
CONDITION DETAILS- The lamp is in overall good vintage condition. There are some aging spots in the gold plating throughout the metal components. All the lucite/acrylic portions look free of cracks or breaks. There are 3 threaded metal pins at the top of the lamp that slide through the trim and into the center finial portion, one of those pins are not original and was replaced with a threaded rod but functions well and blends with the other pins fairly well. There are a few spots where the black have worn or faded away. Please review all photos using zoom for condition details and please ask questions and request more photos if you are unsure of anything prior to purchasing.
The lamp is fairly sturdy but I do feel there is some delicacy to the side arms. The lamp I would definitely consider more on the fragile side, you will want to use extra care while unboxing and handling. Please enjoy all photos and thank you for looking!
