Vintage 1950\'s Sessions Large Ceramic Genie Clock, Very Rare!Pre-owned in excellent condition. Works perfectly. No chips, cracks, scratches, stains, or damage of any kind. Very minimal crazing and very light wear to gold details on sash. Otherwise, amazingly well preserved for age. Beautifully hand painted in pastel shades of pink and yellow with lots of gold detailing. The clock measures approximately 9\"x12\"x12\". The clock has been recently serviced butneeded no repairs.The Sessions Clock Companywas one of several notable American clock companies centered inConnecticut,theE. Ingraham Company,theAnsonia Clock Company theNew Haven Clock Company andtheSeth Thomas Clock Company, Sessions and its predecessors,E.N. Welch Company, theWilliam L. Gilbert Clock Company, and theWaterbury Clock Company,collectively produced most of the mechanical clocks made in America between the mid-19th century and 1950. At about 1935, Sessions ended its production of mechanical clocks and produced electrical clocks exclusively.Many of the Session clocks from this period are prized by collectors.
