This is a 1946 RCA radio model 66X2 built in NYC. Great looking radio. The case shows the move from deco to mid century modern and streamline. Saw this at a recent radio show and had to convert it to Bluetooth. Numerous cracks/splits requiring repairs. Removed all of the non working parts to make room for the new electronics. The original white painted bakelite case was in need of TLC. Look at the last pic as a before view. Repaired the cracks before refinishing it a very cool modern teal color. Was able to reuse the original canning style speaker cover & the glass original dial. I back painted the dial antique gold to highlight the numbers. Look at the pics. I try to save as much of the original as possible & reuse it. On the inside I installed a new 50 watt digital Bluetooth amp connected to a Pioneer 5\" multi range speaker. Really has a great sound for a small box. It had no knobs so I used 3 matching ones from my inventory painted gold. The on/off/volume knob is on the right the others are fixed. DO NOT TURN. Like the gold color with the teal, nice contrast. Now this deco/MCM classic is looking beautiful again. Please look at the pics. This is one of a kind speaker that is cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. Buy it for yourself or give it as a great gift. The RCA now Bluetooth speaker measures 15\" x 8.5\" x 7.5\" . Check out the video.
