Vintage 1940s PYREX Flameware Blue Tint Glass
Double Boiler Upper Part Only#6763-U & Handle

Featured in this listing is a vintage 1940s-50s PYREX Double Bolier upper potfrom the \'Flameware\' series. This is a blue tint glass top part of a double boiler in only slightly used condition. It has an attached handle, but no lid...or bottom pot.

Measurements for the #6763-U pot is 5-3/4\" outside diameter x 5-1/2\" height with a 1-1/2 quart liquid capacity. Weightis about 1pound 9.6 ounces. Purchased at a local sale, the used condition is quite good as there are no cracks, breaks or repairs. There are some very minor scratches.As a matter of historical interest, Pyrex introduced \'Flameware\' in 1936 to make the point that these pans could withstand high heat used on top of the stove over a flame.
