What a great collectible hair tonic bottle! Lot of history on this bottle and the maker:) Started selling his product in the late 1800's.
The bottle itself is so beautiful! The label has some damage from being wet but most of it as you can see is still intact. The bottle has a lot of details starting on the neck with the ribs going around the neck of the bottle. I am sure they served a purpose, maybe to keep it from slipping out of your hand, and the area around the top of the bottle right at the neck has ribbing going up and down and between each rib is embossed with a vine of flowers. Hard to see in the photos but just beautiful. The middle section of the bottle is smooth and then the bottom has a different pattern of ribbing. Very pretty. Shaker style top with a screw on hard plastic cap.
No cracks, chips or any damage.
