A vintage ceramic promotional child-sized (approximately 8 ounces) Ovaltine tumbler / cup we believe to be from the 1940s or 1950s.

Made in England, the cup has the words \"Delicious Ovaltine\" screen-printed on both sides, with silver and yellow pin stripes along the top rim and just silver near the bottom. On the bottom.of the cup, the words \"Made in England\" are curved around the manufacturer\'s mark \"AW\".

Most famously promoted by the comic strip \"Little Orphan Annie\", this is one of the few ceramic Ovaltine cups/mugs we\'ve encountered that doesn\'t use a real-live human celebrity or a fictional comic strip, radio or TV character as a \"hook\". This is a simple, straight forward message that could be compared to a Twitter Tweet today.

Measurements: approximately 4 inches tall with a diameter (measured at the top opening) of approximately 2.8 inches

Condition is Good, Used. There are no breaks or scratches in the ceramics, nor any repairs. There is, however a chip along the inside rim of the cup and a single crack radiating from the chip. There is also one instance of crazing in the glazing on the bottom.of the cup. See theblast 2 photos included in this post for a MAGNIFIED view of these issues.
