Vintage 1940’s Underwood Champion Portable Typewriter W/ Underwood Carrying Box:

In good working condition. Comes with carry case (does not come with key). Keys function well and bell has a nice “ding” sound. Has a black ribbon which seems to have a sufficient amount of ink to produce dark letters - see photo with sample of typed sentences and symbols. Could use a cleaning but I did not attempt this- will leave that to the discretion of the buyer. When I inserted the first piece of paper to type and advanced it, there were some brown lines on the paper - possibly grease or debris from the roller? , but when I inserted a second piece of paper and advanced it through it was clean and didn’t have any marks. That’s why I’m wondering if it may need a cleaning by a professional or someone who knows how to do that. Case has some wear and some marks on the outside and some peeling along edges of paper lining inside of case- see photos. Has a label with name and address inside of case - see photo.
