Vintage 1930s AutoLite Universal Lamp Co Miners 4 Caroffere Mining Lantern Lamp - Brass/Copper Color - Empty - Made in the USA - Springfield, ILThis is a vintage Guy's Dropper miners lantern lamp manufactured by the Universal Lamp Co. The body has developed a lovely patina over time, adding to its vintage charm. This lantern was designed to be mounted on a miner's hardhat and powered by a caroffere fuel source to produce a bright acetylene gas flame. While no longer functional as a light source, it makes for an incredible display piece or collector's item. The attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are evident in this well-made lantern.Appears to be designed to be worn on the helmet or belt. Approx. Dimensions: 4" T x 2-1/8" W x 3-1/2" D w/4" ReflectorSold as is. No warranty from the seller. No Returns.CONDITION NOTE: Used, but in Very Good condition overall for its age. Not tested. The lantern has various nicks, dents, scratches with some surface corrosion (on the reflector) and dust/dirt (see pictures). The unit could not be unscrewed to see inside the container, and I did not want to force it. Does not include the original box and does not include any user documentation.
