Vintage 1930s 17MM Gillette New DeLuxe.

The ever popular and moderately rare New DeLuxe. This is a 17mm example, which is more common than the 15mm counterpart. Both variants are among the smoothest razors Gillette ever produced. Every wetshaver should have one of these in their collection!

Plating is 100% gone on this one, being uniform yellow brass all the way through. Teeth are all straight. Everything fits together as it should, and the threads are good on the handle and top cap. It's a good candidate for replating and a great, smooth shaver even if left as is!

There's a stain on the handle knurling I wasn't able to get out. it doesn't affect anything, but something to mention. Few scratches and dings at the top of the handle where it mates to the neck.

Not positive, but I think this one might be an earlier example since it's all yellow brass instead of any red brass that was used leading up to WW2 and Lend-Lease since the military had first dibs on brass for shells, fittings, and the like.

Don't really have anything else to add, judge condition by the pictures. Don't take too long, though, as these things sell like hotcakes!

As with all my listings, everything has been boiled for sanitary reasons. I used Flitz metal polish on this one since there's no plating left to accidentally strip.
