VINTAGE HAIR WAVING, CRIMPING, CURLING IRON

Interesting and unusual 1920s curling iron measuring about 10-3/4\" in size. Designed to create the wavy crimped style so popular during the flapper era, it has a scissor like action with dual rods for styling. A rather primitive and slightly frightening way to achieve the hair style of the era, can\'t image heating this over an open flame and then applying it to your hair! Condition is very nice with no damage other than darkening to the metal from contact with the flame - very sturdy and ready to go! A wonderful display piece and a neat conversation item! Fun addition to any collection!
