Vintage 1920 Antique Polish Oil Painting Icon Gold Gesso Madonna Child Jesus:

This folksy oil on gesso/pine from the early 1900\'s features hands, feet and faces in oil with elaborately molded gilt gesso details on a swirl-textured pastiglia ground and measures only 10 1/8\" x 7 3/8\". It bears the bold inscription in Polish as pictured and is in nice condition with stable paint and superficial dust and a tiny chip from the Madonna\'s veil just under her crown.
