Postmarked 1910 (I believe), this unique postcard of The Chutes in San Francisco depicts mountains in the background, which means it was one of the early iterations of The Chutes prior to the one built at the beach at Playland. At least three early versions of this amusement park attraction were built in the city: Haight Street, Fulton Street, and at a location in the Fillmore District.
It appears the message on this card was written in pencil. And notice the very simple address for the addressee.
