Very rare antique 2-1/4” brass shade holder with twist \'n lock design - Ca 1896:

Offered for your consideration is a very rare antique 2-1/4” brass shadeholder. What makes this shade holder unique is that it has a twist and lock designto hold it onto the light socket. I have never come across another shade holderof this type. To install it, you slide it over the bottom of a light socket andthen turn it to the right to lock it down, and three “cams” then spread out tolock it in place. There is no manufacturer’ name on the shade holder, but it isstamped with a patent date of 10.13.96. This is a must-have piece for seriouscollectors of vintage shade holders!
