M1815 is the Spanish interpretation of the AN XIII model French Cuirassier Sword.After the War of Independence, the Spanish arsenals were exhausted and composed of a diverse mix of both English and French specimens. These foreign weapons would be gradually replaced by new models approved by the King, the first of which was the 1815 Sword. This sword was manufactured in the foundry workshops of Gabriel Benito de Ibarzabal in Eibar, and the blades in the Toledo Factory. The blade is 33 1/4", the total is 39 1/4". Everything is nice and tight, no parts wiggling.
