Up for sale is a very old Papago/Tohono O\'odham circular basket. It\'s an early piece. This basket, like the Northwest Coast piece, is from the collection of a local Indian Trader\'s estate here in New Mexico. They were in business almost 100 years. The basket has clearly been used. It\'s unlikely to have been made for the tourist trade. About a 3/4 inch loss along the rim, along with a few missing strands on the bottom. Please view all posted photos. The rectangular block design is there, but age faded. Diameter is approximately 10 inches. The basket remains quite sound, but there is a lean to the piece from the time it was originally woven. Please ask any questions you may have; I\'d be happy to try and answer them. Shipping is a flat $14.50 via USPS Ground Advantage. Carefully wrapped and boxed. I value the things I sell.
