This masterpiece was specifically crafted for the royal court of Empress Catherine II, reflecting the utmost in courtly elegance and horological artistry.
• Case: Exquisitely hand-carved from translucent agate hardstone, adorned with intricate gold mounts and featuring the crowned monogram of Catherine II in raised relief on one side, and a coiled serpent motif on the other – powerful imperial emblems of authority and eternity.
• Movement: Finely executed full plate verge fusee movement, hand-engraved and gilt, with pierced and scrolled balance cock. The movement is signed Jas. G. White à Geneve and numbered 759 – a testament to Swiss craftsmanship of the highest order.
• Dial: Enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals, recessed centre, and outer Arabic minute track – elegantly classical in design.
• Dimensions: Substantial 61mm diameter.
• Condition: In perfect working order, with all original components intact.
• Accessories: Includes its original matching key.
