This is a VERY rare pair of collided bullets from Byrd Spring in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. Several experts have looked at this and agree it is correct. They appear to be a Sharps and an Enfield.
Authentic examples of collided bullets are known but are incredibly rare and are highly collectible. This pair was in the collection of an early detectorist and historian. He found them in the 1970s along with numerous other artifacts at the site, but unfortunately it is now a subdivision.
