Vintage Navajo RICK MARTINEZ HUGE 545 grams Sterling Silver CONCHO BELT 1890 REVIVALMUSEUM QUALITY Revival of Early 2nd Phase Concho Belt byNavajo Master Silversmith Rick Martinez, who excels in the fine smithing of Traditional Revival pieces, generally adding more extravagantly detailed design.His artistry brings Old World traditional styling to his jewelry, using heavy gauge fine quality sterling silver, with strong hand filed and chiseled, heavily patterned design. This spectacular concho belt is comprised of ten beautifully sculpted, domed and scalloped, extra large and heavy conchos plus heavy, handsomely ornate buckle. Rick is a cousin of world renowned traditional silversmith Kirk Smith (1957-2012), who taught him his craft. You can see a similarity in his beautiful design work.Signed R. Martinez Sterling. Excellent vintage condition with aged patina and some scratches from normal wear.Belt Measurements:Black leather belt is 1-1/4\" wide. Length from buckle to end of belt is 51\" with some holes punched, leaving 18\" from last hole to end of belt, with lots of room for more holes.
