Up for grabs here is a vintage drink glass from a restaurant. It pictures a lobster holding a card saying, \"HOWDY FOLKS!\" At the bottom, it is marked, \"FRIENDSHIP HOUSE - HIGHWAY 90 - SIX MILES EAST OF GULFPORT...SIX MILES WEST OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI.\" This iconic restaurant opened in 1949 and was beloved by locals and Gulf Coast travelers until it closed in 1980. (Some 44 years ago.) This glass measures just under 4 inches tall, and is 2 & 3/4 inches wide, at the top. The condition is GOOD. There are some scuffs to the raise ridge near the top. No chips or cracks, and the red & black printed graphics are still clean. Look up this restaurant and you\'ll find several post cards, a few menus and matchbooks, but you won\'t find another glass!
