This colorful illustration, by Helen Dryden, appeared on the JULY 15th 1916 cover of Vogue. Lady Butterfly is taking time to smell the flowers on a windy day. Ther are lots of butterflies frolicking about! This poster is approximately 40 years old and was carefully removed from a Large 1st edition publication and quite scarce! It is not a reproduction or copy of any kind. This is the original Poster published by Condé Nast in the 70\'s!It is in excellent condition! With a few very minor crinkles/imperfections here & there.Certainly nothing overly obvious or distracting in any way! The graphics & coloring are stunningly vibrant! This was printed on high quality heavyweight stock. It measures approximately 11\" X 15\" The centering is beautiful with 4 sharp corners.\"Once upon a time there were ladies who were totally secure within their own environment…These ladies, so amusing and delicious, illustrated on these covers of Vogue, were the illusion of dreaming.
