Here we have a rare, unusual \"souvenir\" sample from Alberta Tar sands. This is from 1979, produced by Artistic Souvenirs, Canada. Alberta Tar sands has been labelled as the most destructive oil operation by National Geographic. Producing oil from tar sands releases 3 times as much greenhouse gas pollution as conventional crude oil.This rare and unusual tourist souvenir consists of a metal base with samples of tarsands, crude oil and sand residue. It\'s a cool looking thing that would be a good curiosity/talking piece on a desk. It measures approximately 7.25 inches by 6 inches by 1.25 inches. This is the only one on or online of course so get it while you can. If you have any questions please don\'t hesitate to ask.
