This vintage 1930's/1940's metal & wood ARCHIMEDES EGG BEATER KITCHEN WHISK measures approximately 13"l...perfect for any country decorating or kitchenware display!  The unique design of this handy kitchen utensil is attributed to the third century B.C. mathematician and inventor Archimedes who was instrumental in the development of the up-and-down eggbeater.  When placed vertically in a mixing bowl or jar and pushed up & down the bottom wire whisk rotates to beat/mix/whip ingredients.  Firmly attached red wooden handle.  No maker's mark.  All metal parts are secure and work easily & well.  This handy kitchen tool is clean and shows no chips, cracks, dents, broken, missing or repaired parts.  Some very minor expected age related surface/edge wear as shown in photos.  A FUN addition to any VINTAGE ARCHIMEDES EGG BEATER/KITCHENWARE/COUNTRY DECORATING collection!  Buyer pays shipping.  Please check my other sales for MORE interesting items!
