This old single bit axe head has seen it’s better days .

Although it’s not beat up , cracked , or pieces chipped off , it’s in pretty good condition except for the pitting . Evidently it was left lying around outside for some years , the cutting edge is in good shape with no chips missing on the edge . The poll end shows significant mushrooming but again , no chips missing .

The makers mark in indiscernible , I can only make out “CO. INC” , a rectangle box with only one discernible letter (R) , and the letters “EANS” . It has me stumped !!🫤

Nevertheless , it is still a solid single bit axe head that still has a lot of good use in it !!
