This sweet Robotech figure is labeled robotech copyright 1985 Harmony gold/Tatsunoko. As harmony gold and Tatsunoko never had the rights to make the American toys and they were the original Japanese manufacturer This has to be one of the very very rare originals from japan. I have researched for hours and hours online and it is definitely not anywhere in the American catalog of toys released by matchbox nor can i find it anywhere in any guide to rare Robotech toys so it is very rare indeed. Sadly the part inside that shoots caps and sparks is rusted and broken so it no longer works. Even broken this item is literally one of a kind with none other then it seeming to be in existence outside of japan so it is well worth the price.
