VINTAGE RETRO BEAUTY PARLOUR HAIR SALON LARGE ILLUMINATED ADVERTISING SIGN:

How cool is this?!? It\'s a vintage beauty parlour/hair salon illuminated sign. This piece was manufactured by Gulf Development, Inc. in 1980 and is composed of plastic panels with metal framing. This appears to be a one of a kind sign and was designed for a specific hair salon, however, the business origins are unknown. This sign originally had two long flourescent bulbs mounted inside. The wiring was stiff and when I initially powered it on, the electrical components unfortunately popped and smoked, so I removed all hardware, bulbs, etc. and replaced it with a standard lamp socket and a long cord and plug (see photos). I also put a very bright bulb inside and it looks great lit up! I left the bulb in there and put the sign back together, so it\'s ready to go when you receive it. A few scratches are present in places especially on the black borders and lady silhouettes. The shadow outline seen around the silhouettes when the sign is lit up is actually a result of a border or unevenness in the plastic and appears to be the way it was designed.

This sign measures 32\" long x 12\" deep x 22\" tall and weighs just under 15 lbs.

A great piece to hang in a current salon business, home bar, lounge or game room!
