VINTAGE NEW YORK CITY NYC TAXI MEDALLION LICENSE PERMIT:

This is a rare and authentic New York City taxi medallion for the year 1998 - 1999 (color

is blue). This medallion came off of the hood of old NYC taxicab and was actually used/in

service. A medallion is issued by the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) and is what authorizes a taxi to operate. Taxi medallions styles change from year to year and this one is no longer being used. At the

end of the year the TLC removes these from each taxi and takes them out of service. Each medallion is unique with its own “hack” number.

PLEASE NOTE: The medallion you will receive will have a different number than the one displayed in the picture. But there is only one of that number.

Measures 6” x 5 ½ ”.

Also, these are actual medallions that were in service and riveted to the hood of a working NYC taxi, so some of these medallion will show signs of wear, bending and yellow paint (which all adds to the character and authenticity)!!
