VINTAGE MCM 1950’S HAND MADE EYE CATCHING OPTICAL TEXTILE ART WALL HANGINGDATING TO THE 1950’S
THIS PIECE DATES TO THE 1950’S AND IS HAND MADE.
FASHIONED OF A TEXTURED GREY UPHOLSTERY TEXTILE WITH A RAISED PATTERN WITH THE BORDERS MACHINE STITCHED IN BLACK.
THE ENTIRE PIECE IS COVERED IN LAYERED CIRCLES OF FELT AND WOOL THROUGHOUT.
CONDITION: THE GROUND FABRIC HAS SOME SMALL SPOTS OF FRAY AND I THINK THAT IT WAS ORIGINAL TO THE FABRIC. SMALL ABSENCE TO THE STITCHING OF THE BORDER EDGE WITH SMALL THREAD WEAR TO ONE CORNER, AS PICTURED.
