A vintage (antique?) silk \"Koromo\" jacket for a Japanese Zen Buddhist priest.
This is a rare and unusual item. It would be suitable for display / framing but we think too fragile for wearing. We don\'t know its age. It came from an antiques sale in Kyoto. There\'s no label. Itlooks hand made.The material is tattered in places (see the close ups photos) and has had repairs done over its lifetime. The interior silk lining has sweat stains. We have two others listed on that came from the same sale and likely came from the same monk and temple.
