Presenting a superb vintage Australian Aboriginal message stick masterfully hand crafted and signed by Simone Thomson-Koehrer of the Yorta-Yorta Tribe. This is a fine early example of this artists work. This fabulous piece has been beautifully hand carved from one solid piece of timber and expertly decorated with a traditional hand painted pyrographic design. This impressive message stick has been beautifully decorated with pyrographic snake designs representing journey paths which radiate from a central black dot. The curved snakes / paths are painted with red, yellow, green and white stripes and lead to four arrows in each corner of the piece. There are a few watermarks resulting in some spots of lighter toned timber. The timber has developed a pleasing mellow patina that only time can bring. The images provide an accurate indication of condition. This exquisite work of art has a lovely feel and presents spectacularly.MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the reverse with a pyrographic mark reading \"Simone Thomson-Koehrer Yorta-Yorta Tribe\". - This fabulous piece would make a fine addition to any Australian Aboriginal, Ethnographic or Tribal Art collection!
