TheAmerican Expeditionary Forces(AEF) consisted of the[link removed by ] Forcessent to Europe under the command of General[link removed by ] Pershingin 1917 to help fight[link removed by ] I. During the[link removed by ] Ithe AEF fought in France alongside French and British allied forces in the last year of the war, against[link removed by ] forces. Some of the troops fought alongside Italian forces in that same year, against[link removed by ] forces. The AEF helped the French Army on the[link removed by ] Frontduring the[link removed by ] Offensive(atChâteau-Thierryand[link removed by ] Wood) in June 1918, and fought its major actions in theSaint-Mihieland[link removed by ] Offensivesin late 1918.
