VINTAGE 1950’S MEXICAN FOLK ART COPPER MASKSEA TURTLE

This gorgeous museum quality piece is in fantastic condition. Made from the old flotadones del care (copper plumbing floats) which were cut in half and fashioned into masks such as this. It is made of solid strong copper and hand painted on the front side. This one is extra special and represents a Sea Turtle and has intricate detailing and tiny twisted wire embellishment. Most masks this age have lost their paint, this masks painting is in beautiful shape though slightly darkened due to age.

Measures approximately 9" top of head to bottom edge of tail. and is 11.75" wide
