This listing is for a vintage 1944 Parker Vacumatic Major fountain pen in Azure Blue with gold filled trim and a 14k gold XF flexible nib.

Pen has been restored and is in perfect working order.

Pen has been completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected. A new rubber diaphragm of the proper size has been trimmed to the correct length and installed. Nib, section and feed have been cleaned, inspected and adjusted for an optimal writing experience. Upon completion of restoration the pen has been tested to ensure proper operation and functionality.

Major size pen measures 5-1/8” or 12.8cm capped.

Overall, this pen is in excellent condition. General signs of age, handling and normal usage, but no fatal flaws or defects. Superficial marks to the surface that could easily be polished out, but no deep gouges or scratches. Some light little “dings” towards the top of the cap, presumably tooth marks.

Factory Parker imprint is present on the side of the barrel and is easily read. Free from any names, initials or personalizations.

Gold filled trim include Parker blue diamond feathered arrow clip and cap band. Both are free from any brassing or plating loss.

14k gold Parker Vacumatic nib has a XF point and is flexible. Note: nib is not overly flexible or a “wet noodle”, but the tines do open up to allow for line variation under normal writing pressure. Nib is likely a later replacement as it has a .8. date code on it.
