For your consideration is a 1930's Baltimore Federal Savings & Loan Bank advertising dime bank with calendar. It measures just over 5" tall, 4 1/4" across and 2" in depth. The body is metal and shows surface rust spots. I am assuming the front and back to be a leather, embossed with bank detail and images best seen clearer when you zoom in. Included on the front are the bank name, image of the bank on the front along with streets St. Paul and Fayette on Colonial Corner. It has the slogan "Grow Faster at the Savings Center". The back has more of a far away view of the building, the name and streets as well. This is a dime bank and no other coins will fit the slot on the top. I do hear at least one coin inside. The calendar does work. When you move the lever on the top the date scrolls to the next day. I moved it 5 times and it went fine. The bottom is marked with patent numbers dating to the 1930's. It also has a slot that is labeled "for coins" and a round hole labeled "for bills". No key. While it is a littel rough in appearance, it would still be a great addition to your still bank collection.
