VICTORIAN English Crystal Toiletries Bottle Jar Sterling Silver Lid London 1889
This is an AMAZING ANTIQUE toiletries bottle/jar from Victorian England. The crystal glass jar is oval in shape and has a faceted design. The lid is made of sterling silver (.925) and is engraved with a leaf and ivy pattern and the initials "MJK." The hallmarks on the lid place it at .925 quality (standing lion), from London (leopard), 1889 (letter "O" in a shield), and from Matthew West siversmiths (MW in a rectangle). It is 3.5 inches tall, 2.75 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. This is an AMAZING PIECE OF HISTORY! The piece is in EXCELLENT CONDITION! There are no chips or cracks. There are no scratches or discoloration. The silver has been cleans of most of its tarnish (there's still some in the tiny crevices). It's absolutely AMAZING!
