This is a rather rare Convention medal.

First VFW Convention Post War.

Held in Boston Massachusetts August 15, 1946

Guest speaker was a young John F. Kennedy.

He told the story of Lt. John McCarthy a PT boat commander.

The medal has been on display in an a War relic museum in Gettysburg.

It is in very nice condition for its age.

Has the old style pin on the back.
