This is a rare vintage hand-made Alaskan man in Kayak crafted using natural materials. The art piece is of Inuit tribal affiliation and made in the United States. The artisan is unknown and there is no information on the ownership history. The 9" long art piece is handmade and is not a reproduction.

The facial features are crudely drawn. The kayak is hand carved, covered with a thin layer of leather or skin. The leather figure is dressed in fur and has leather hands. Someone put a lot of work into this piece. There’s some wear on the end of the kayak that can be seen in the photos.
