Unique Texas Cretaceous Dinosaur-Aged Fossil 2.25” Mortoniceras Ammonite:

This nice unprepped mortoniceras ammonite fossil was discovered on a Fort Worth formation creek southeast of downtown Fort Worth in Tarrant County. While missing the center whorls, it looks great thanks to the visible segments of the ammonite and other unique details, like serpula worm tubes on one side. Its estimated age of 90-100 million years old places it in the age of dinosaurs.

This ammonite has not been repaired or altered in any way, only washed off with soap and water.

I discovered it in Summer 2023.
