Handmade arming sword, with my own additional touches. The sword has a full tang, and a peened pommel. I did not craft the original sword! Originally purchased off as a product line prototype sample, and as far as I can tell the steel is likely hardened and heat treated, as it seems to return to true and holds an edge, but I never found out for certain, and haven’t done rigorous testing with it. Was more interested in the craftsmanship of the fittings and accessories.

That being said, I made an ash and crazyhorse leather scabbard, with risers and rain guard, and then extended and extended/remade the handle of the sword as well to better match the scabbard and bring the point of balance closer to the hilt. Handle is poplar, with a leather riser, and wrapped in the same crazyhorse leather, which was bound with twine while it dried to give it texture. Stitching on the scabbard is a traditional saddle stitch, which on hindsight left a ridge on the lower side of the scabbard. But I think it looks pretty good considering it was my first attempt.

Asking 375 plus shipping. I know you could hop on KoA and get a sword for that price, but for the cost of the additional wood/leather and time spent making the scabbard it’d be nice to get some money for it. Plus it’s truly one-of-a-kind at this point. Plus you can know it’s for a good cause, as all proceeds go toward my next project of this sort ;)
