A little history about company
The VEF plant (Valsts Elektrotehniskā Fabrika) was the largest electrotechnical enterprise in Latvia - a leading manufacturer of PBXs, telephone switches, telephone sets, radio stations, radio receivers, and other products. The company was founded in April 1919. VEF radio receivers became the calling card of the plant. At the international exhibitions of 1935 in Brussels and 1937 in Paris, devices under the VEF brand won the Grand Prix. In the late 1990s, the plant was reorganized and production was closed.
A short description - In very good condition radioVEF-202(1980, USSR)is arare vintage radio in plum color,released in a limited edition for the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. You can judge the external condition from the photo and an example of his work on video.It's designed to receive radio broadcasting stations in the long, medium and short ranges.Radio is not currently in production.
- It's not large, in a plastic case, with metal chrome plates and handles of the same color, with a beautiful tuning scale - this radio receiver leaves no one indifferent. It will look great in the interior of your living room or office.Completely in original configuration: all handles, antenna - everything is original.
- The receiver contains auxiliary antenna in the LW and MW range;
- smooth tone control for high and low sound frequencies;
- telescopic rotating antenna in the SW bands
- The receiver has devices for connecting:
- external antenna for LW, MW, SW bands (divided into 6 phone;
- connector for connecting an external power supply (9V).
Operates on from six R-20 type elements or from a 220V to 9V mains power supply.One set of batteries, at an average listening volume, lasts for 200 hours of operation.
- The receiver is in working condition, comes complete with a 220V power supply. Does it run on battery - I haven't checked.
