The picturesque lacquer miniatures Russian boxes of the Fedoskino school are known all over the world. Fedoskino boxes are created by masters by hand, painted with thin white tassels, silver or mother-of-pearl and paints created according to an ancient recipe. The mineral dye is mixed with egg yolk, water and vinegar, obtaining bright, rich colors.

From his imagination, the artist drew a beautiful atmospheric picture of a winter evening forest. The picture shows a house standing in the middle of a forest clearing, a light is burning in the windows, a river flows in the middle of the clearing, the banks of which are covered with snow, and deer are walking on the opposite bank. The picture is made with gouache mainly in cold tones.The master left his signature in the lower right corner.

The drawing is made in the Fedoskino technique, very thin and professional, the composition is thought out to the smallest detail, the drawing and the sides are framed with a thin gold ornament. An important detail is that inside the box is neatly finished with red velvet, which gives the box a special charm.

This box was made in 2022 in Ukraine.
