Attention all Sailors and Marines, as well as Navy and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts! Check out this fine example of a subdued OD logo patch for 1st Medical Battalion of 1st Marine Logistics Group. These can\'t be found just anywhere! Not, of course, allowed on Marine uniforms, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.

Located at Camp Pendleton, California, 1st Med Bn is the Naval unit tasked with providing medical support to I Marine Expeditionary Force. Gotta love their unit nickname: CHEATERS OF DEATH!

As a maritime service, the USMC has a long tradition of entrusting their medical care to the US Navy. Navy Corpmen are highly respected among combat Marines, and they’ve earned it! 1st Medical Bn was activated at Quantico, VA in 1940, and has participated in every major conflict since -- from Pacific island campaigns of World War II to the sands of Operation Desert Storm!

Recent Decades: Of course, Sailors and Marines from 1st Medical Battalion were called upon once again for service in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom!

This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch. It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item! Embroidered on OD twill with merrowed edge and plastic heat-sealed backing (as shown in 2nd photo.) Colors are clean and bright. See ruler in photo for size comparison.

My flat-fee shipping structure covers cost of packaging and postage, and is a best-guess estimate for size and weight of items. It\'s not an exact science. (The flat fee is still significantly less than my actual cost for postage.) Items ship in zip-closure poly bags to protect from moisture. Items ship as trackable USPS Ground Advantage parcels within the US.

In my experience, the track record of US Postal Service delivery within the US is practically 100% reliable. I may at my discretion choose insurance for shipments of a certain value. But the best insurance you can have is to make sure you provide a current and correct postal delivery address, and to check your mailbox regularly.
