Regulation USMC, Army military Guidon STAFF, jointed 2-piece Ash hardwood, natural finish, with correct \"chromed\" finish (not plain brass!) SPEARHEAD FINIAL and FERRULE.(Note: This sale is for the STAFF and chromed HARDWARE only!)+ Mint NOS Unissued condition in original factory wrapper/packaging! Stunning condition!
+ ZERO blemishes!+ Correct for any unit Guidon from WWI, WWII, or later, as the dimensions have remained unchanged for over a century.
+ Constructed to Department of Defense (DOD) military specifications. Correct for any of the armed services. See, for example, Army Regulations for \"Flags, Guidons, Streamers...\" AR 840-10.
+ Total Length is 8\' (as measured from the tip of the \"Spearhead\" FINIAL to the tip of the FERRULE). Commercially these staffs are available in 7\', 8\', and 9\' lengths, but the 8\' length is the standard military specification length.
+ Dimensions:
\"Spearhead\" Finial is 8\" Bottom Ferrule is 5-1/8\"
Each Joint section is 3-1/8\" excluding the threads.
+ Staff is made of unblemished straight grain hardwood (Ash), natural finish, varnished. The staff\'s diameter at the center is 1-5/32\" and is correctly tapers from the center to the each end -- it is not simply a dowel (pole) of uniform diameter!
+ Correct \"Spearhead\" FINIAL and tapered FERRULE, which is correct for military guidons.
+ The hardware is handsomely \"CHROMED\" (or nickel plated), which is correct for military guidons and is preferred over the brass finish.
+ The threads of the 2-piece JOINT are in perfect condition.+ All of the hardware is set fastened with chromed, domed \'Phillips-head\' screws. Each section of the JOINT is secured with 4 screws. Both the sculpted base of the FINIAL and the FERRULE are secured with 2 screws.+ The \"Spearhead\" FINIAL unscrews for safe transport.
