Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts! This is a FINE example of the current logo patch for Third Marine Regiment! These can\'t be found just anywhere! Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.

Third Marines has a rich and colorful history since its activation in 1916. They were known as 3rd Provisional Regiment and participated in campaigns in Mexico and Dominican Republic. The regiment earned distinguished battle streamers from WWII (Bouganville, Guam) as well as Viet Nam (48 major operations from 1965 to1969.) In Operation Desert Storm 3rd Marines served with 1st Marine Division as Regimental Combat Team 3 – better known as Task Force Taro! Third Marines home is Marine Corps Base Hawaii. They report to 3rd MarDiv and III MEF.

Recent Decades: Of course, Marines of 3rd Regiment made history once again in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom! Marines from 3rd Regiment have continued to serve with honor – from Fallujah, Iraq to the Helmand Province of Afghanistan!

This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch. It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item! Fully embroidered with merrowed edge and plastic heat-sealed backing. Colors are clean and bright. See ruler in photo for size comparison.

My flat-fee shipping structure covers cost of packaging and postage, and is a best-guess estimate for size and weight of items. It\'s not an exact science. (The flat fee is still significantly less than my actual cost for postage.) Items ship in zip-closure poly bags to protect from moisture. Items ship as trackable USPS Ground Advantage parcels within the US.

In my experience, the track record of US Postal Service delivery within the US is practically 100% reliable. I may at my discretion choose insurance for shipments of a certain value. But the best insurance you can have is to make sure you provide a current and correct postal delivery address, and to check your mailbox regularly.
