Up for sale, is a vintage used circa 1960s German Fireman\'s helmet, painted white. The liner looks to have been replaced and is marked as a size \"58\". It does not have the neck protector, but the liner has the tabs to affix one. Construction appears to be aluminum and it has a folded rim like the earlier German Army Helmets. It is marked in the interior back \"DIN 14940\", and an \"LS\" in a circle, which should be the manufacturer. Here is some information off of the internet: \"In Germany, many fire brigades still use the old German DIN fire helmet. Early on, this helmet was simply an aluminum alloy version of the M1942 Stahlhelm used by the Wehrmacht, standardized in 1956 and normed in 1964 by DIN 14940. The material was AL-CU-MG, normed by DIN 1725. At about 800 g, it was lighter than most fire fighting helmets.\" It came from a recent estate sale...
