US WW2 WWII Practice Bomb: $155.00
US Army Navy WWII WW2 AN-MK 23 Practice Bomb W/ AN-MK 4 Bomb SIGNAL
History lesson: These AN-MK 23 Practice Bombs were used during WW2 for low-altitude horizontal and/or dive-bombing practice. Essentially there were three different types, all similar in appearance, but differ in the metal used to cast the body. The MK 23 was made of cast iron, the MK 5 was made of zinc-alloy, and the MK 43 was made of lead antimony. This gave the bomb different weights for different purposes. All three bombs used a 10-gauge Winchester shell (AN-MK 4) as a signal to mark the impact.
Here\'s an opportunity to add a New Old Stock AN-MK23 practice bomb and rare NOS AN-MK 4 Bomb Signal to your collection. The practice bomb is complete with the original firing pin cup and cotter pin along with the “shroud” (metal band on fins) which is almost always missing.
