Fun Facts: It can take 5 million years for Opal to form. Opal can be synthetic and lab created. However, it will be free of the natural inclusions, which are present from the natural Earthly process. In Jewelry, there is a process called \"doublet\" - where a slice of nice Opal is glued or set upon an inferior grade stone. Only the authentic Opal can be seen when viewed in the setting (such as a ring, etc). In most cases, the owner will be unaware, unless they have the entire Opal authenticated and not just the surface area that is seen. Opal has a rich history and is a diverse specimen. Being Amorphous, it comes in a variety of shapes, styles and colors. It\'s amazing!
