This is a great looking US NAVY - USS RACINE (LST-1191) challenge coin. It has a great looking colorized enamel photo on the front and a NAVY emblem on the reverse side. Coin has reeded edges and is about 1 9/16\" in diameter. Front side of coin is printed and colorized while the rear side is stamped and gold plated. Coin is contained in an acrylic snap tight holder.The USS Racine (LST-1191) was the second ship to bear the name of the Wisconsin City. She was capable of a sustained speed of 20 knots (37km/h). Her ability to adjust her draft, accompanied by her unique bow-ramp design, helped bring a new degree of responsiveness to the Amphibious fleet.
