US Merchant Marine Bullion Patch Vintage 1940-1950s, Acta Non Verba anchor eagle.
This bullion patch for the Merchant Marines comes from an old Bristol Maine estate. The other items found in the estate indicate military service during and after WWII. This patch likely dates to shortly after WWII, though I don’t have a specific date on it.
It presents in overall nice condition and doesn’t appear to have been stitched on to a uniform. In my research it seems to be a rather uncommon style of patch. See photos for additional details.
