US ARMY, MARINE CORP PARATROOPER, PARACHUTIST M1 STEEL HELMET WITH WHAT I UNDERSTAND TO BE THE \"TRANSITIONAL\" WOODLAND CAMO PATTERN COVER.WITH PARACHUTIST CHIN STRAP ASSY. SWEAT BAND AND NAPE STRAP.I am no sure of the exact date of mfg. however the sweat band is dated 1974. Cover is in great shape no rips or tears. suspension is in great shape parachutist harness is flawless. helmet does however need the steel helmet chin straps. I don\'t recall when I purchased this for my collection, but it seemed to fill a certain time period in our history kind of between Vietnam and Desert Shield.Thank You
