Here we have an m42 gas mask like used by tankers in the Iraq war. In the late \'90s The army needed something to replace the decades-old m25 gas mask. Ultimately, the m40 gas mask had been chosen and consequently the m42 gas mask was issued to the US military from the 90s sometime It was replaced by current issue.

The mask features, hoses and the couplings connect to the vehicle collective protector hose ( first air system) similar to [PAPR]. However, this mask is also including several accessories including decontamination and chemical testing kits at some time. With this mask, the tank crew could even potentially leave the tank in a contaminated environment for a short period of time.

This gas mask was also designed to connect to the well-known CVC helmet for combat vehicle crewman. It includes a cable that would connect to the boom mic to operate with the communication system. The mask also features the lens outserts + chemical Hood.
